Problem: Predominantly heat exchanger tubes are manufactured from a different metal than the tube sheet. This leads to bi-metallic corrosion at the junction of tube and tube sheet which in turn causes leakage across the tube sheet.
Belzona Solution: Because Belzona products are electrically non-conductive they can be used to isolate the two differing metals from the electrolyte thus breaking the electrical connection and thereby eliminating the galvanic corrosion.
Rebuild division bars and seal faces
Re-form division bar seats.
Rebuild covers and water boxes.
Problem: When division bars and their seats (seal area) are damage by corrosion the result is short circuiting of the fluid media between passes. This of course drastically reduces the efficiency of the heat exchanger.
Protect water boxes and end covers against corrosion
Problem: Corrosion build up within water boxes can lead to reduced flow, and turbulent flow of the fluid passing through. This in turn will lead to increased erosion and also reduce the efficiency of the heat exchanger.

Seal cracks and expansion joints
Problem: Expansion and contraction, natural movement of the ground, freeze-thaw cycles and impact all combine to cause the premature failure of expansion joints. This in the main is due to two primary reasons. The concrete used is not very strong and the sealing compound used is not elastic enough.

Rebuild fan blades
Problem: In almost every case, where dust particles pass through a fan at high velocity the leading edges of the fan blades are damaged by erosion. This can lead to turbulence which in turn leads to increased erosion damage. It also causes imbalance of the fan which results in damage to the bearings and shafting.
Belzona Solution: Rebuild and protect the leading edges of fan blading with the Belzona 1300 Series Polymers, which are erosion-resistant ceramic polymers which are specifically designed to resist erosion caused by small particulates which become entrained within a fluid.

RADIATORS AND CALORIFIERS
Seal leaks, welds, and seams
Problem: Due to the methods of construction coupled with the fluids passing through them, radiators and calorifiers tend to spring leaks at key areas such as welded seams and other areas where the manufacturing process has induced stresses of some kind.
